Upon the eve of the Birthday of Sakyamuni Buddha , the Supreme Master Ching Hai told  one story of Sakyamuni Buddha  to encourage our determination  to seek enlightenment. She pointed out that Sakyamuni Buddha was also an ordinary person,  but why is he  well-known throughout the ages? It is just because he could forsake everything. He renounced  not only his  family but also the whole kingdom. He is a very   courageous man.  The unusual bravery came from  great wisdom.   So , no matter what kind of person Sakyamuni  Buddha  was, his   bravery is very   outstanding. . No wonder he became Buddha, it is really  not easy. He forsook  everything, and became a lonely ascetic, eventually obtained  enlightenment,  It’s really rare.

Does this mean he had no emotion? No! He just sees through everything. By observing any  corner in the world,  he knows  the secret of Creation, and he knows that whoever associate together   is merely by the causality , , no big deal. So sometimes if we don’t have really enlightened view, we may  still be bound by small many emotions and prejudice, and  we will be  stuck there all the time and can not look into  other thoughts, nor can we  free our thoughts  and become enlightened for bigger matters . So sentient beings fall into the suffering life after life, just because they can not see  far and broad .
