  • Summary

In the Diamond Sutra, the Buddha said that there are Six Perfection: Giving, Keeping the precepts, Tolerance, Diligence, Meditation, then Wisdom. What is giving? Giving money, giving effort, giving mental support, and giving spirituality. The Buddha said that giving spirituality is the best giving. In the Medicine Buddha Sutra, it said: When the Medicine Buddha still practiced the Bodhisattva way, He gave whatever anyone asked of Him, every material thing. After they ate and felt satisfied and healthy, He would teach them the Supreme Method so that they could escape from the circle of birth and death.

In the Bible it states, “Seek you first the Kingdom of God and all other things shall be added unto you.” You must find the Kingdom of God inside, first, and then all the virtues, and other things will be added. Finding the Kingdom of God means finding our Nirvana, our own Buddha nature. “ Turn your hearing inward to listen to your inherent nature.” Reflecting upon ourselves to understand who we really are. We don’t listen with the ears. Actually, we should say that we observe our self nature, we realize our true nature. This is more correct. Because inside there are also sounds, music, inner melody. So we think we hear it, we say we hear it.

Questions and Answers:

Meditation without precepts, without giving, without patience and tolerance, without diligence, then it’s Maya meditation. You will have a little bit magical power, a little bit of enlightenment, but not complete enlightenment, just like elementary school. Many people asked me why we should practice this method, and not other methods? The others are like primary school. So wisdom must accompany giving, keeping the precepts, tolerance, diligence, meditation. So the Buddha and Bodhisattvas who have both wisdom and love, and use that wisdom together with love.

Question: I would like to ask Master. The Lord said that we must believe in Him in order to be saved. If we believe in other religions, even though we do good deeds, we still won’t be saved. Is it correct? Master: Yes, it is correct. When a Savior comes to this world, if we believe in Hirm, then all the virtues and merits are included in that faith. It’s said that “Faith is the mother of all merits.” But we have to believe in a living Christ, or the living Buddha or the living Master, who are still in the world. This is what it means.
