Why are historical records and comments sometimes inconsistent with the facts? How can we learn real lessons from the history? Many people praise that Bo Yi, Shu Qi and Qu Yuan are patriotic and loyal to their kings, but why does Supreme Master Ching Hai say they are not wise? What is true patriotism and loyalty? Why do people who like fame too much and are attached to certain morals or lifestyles are not wise men? Please listen to Supreme Master’s unique and penetrating explanations.

Supreme Master takes Guan Zhong as an example to explain that in order to help our fellow countrymen, we should not even care about our own reputations, or make others know we are honest and upright, wise and talented or have the capability to pacify the country and govern the world. Master further points out that the method and serving spirit of governing the country, pacifying the world and transforming sentient being through spiritual practice are all the same; we don’t need to display as a very moral person or to be attached to any place. We should help in anonymity if the situation needs us to. If we truly want to help, we don’t need to worry what others think. Truly moral and reputable person is usually invisible, so we say ‘a real wise man does not show his greatness’. The outer appearance doesn’t necessarily represent our inner attainment. The most important thing is that we know our intention is clean and firm. That’s what really matters!
