  • Summary

Supreme Master Ching Hai tells the story of the previous lives of Shakyamuni             Buddha and Devadatta. The virtuous Prince Shan Yo travelled over mountains and           rivers searching for the wish-fulfilling pearl for his people, but he was  framed by his         brother and  became a beggar. How did the prince with noble ideals  touch the                 princess’s heart? And  how did he return to his homeland and reunite with his family?       Let’s listen to Master’s  pearls of wisdom and travel together to the previous life of             Buddha.

If we encounter any test, it’s our lesson to grow up. But few people can bear it. When the test comes, a Quan Yin practitioner would cry out too. But the difference is that we know at the same time it’s a test, and it’s where we haven’t passed through. So now that we know we’re stuck here, we know where the knot is, and we have to untie it,  next time when we encounter the same situation, we’ll not fall into any trap.

Any suffering is also a blessing from the Buddha and Boddhisattvas. Of course sometimes we cannot bear it and we complain a little, it’s natural, and God allows us to complain. But we also should  know deeply that it’s ll for our own good and help  our  improvement!
