Highlights:

Liang Yuan was the wild animal trainer for King Xuan of Zhou Dynasty. He was well-known for keeping and training wild animals; even the fierce ones like tigers, lions and snakes would be tamed under his management. Those wild animals were very cooperative when Liang Yuan fed them and never hurt  him. They generated a peaceful atmosphere, and loved their keeper very much. So the reproductions were on time and the herd kept growing. Supreme Master Qing Hai reminded us through the story of Liang Yuan that we should train the capering monkey and galloping horse in our mind in this moderated way.

Supreme Master pointed out that we humans also have some animal elements , because we have blood and flesh, so we may often get angry. If we keep listening to the mind, we cannot change our habits and enjoy peace and happiness. We should know when it’s enough and when to stop. Do not submit to the mind too much. This mind is merely keen on playing, just like monkeys. We should not control the mind or habit too much, while not being too obedient to it. This is the way called the golden mean.
