  • Summary

Do you know the true meaning of the Mantra, “Om Mani Padme Hum”? If someone receives the experience from reciting the Mantra, “Om Mani Padme Hum”, can he/she be liberated? Supreme Master Ching Hai earnestly pointed out that the deep and subtle Dharma is difficult to encounter in hundreds of thousands of millions of eons. It’s not easy to understand the supreme method. If we do not understand it and practice it at random by ourselves, then it will just like we cannot make rice by boiling sand even though we cook it for thousands of years. We will never get rice no matter how long we keep cooking it. One can be liberated ultimately only when he finds the real method.

From the very beginning, every great practitioner has to acquire the lineage from a Master. Even a great Bodhisattva should find a Master to pass the lineage to him/her when he/she comes to this world. Otherwise he/she can not achieve the high level. There are two kinds of teachers; one is the true teacher who is a teacher outside and you can also meet him/her in your inner experience. This is the Master of the top level. Another one is a teacher only outward who has not yet attained the level of the inner Master. If you do not have a true Master to teach you the correct method, you can only achieve the second level at most, and rarely can you achieve the third level. Without Master’s protection, most people will become mentally disordered if they wander to the first level world and are attacked by astral beings.
