  • Summary

How to recognize a real Master? People discriminate between Masters based on their own imagination. They are attached to the Buddha's name and bound the wooden Buddha, eagerly "searching for enlightened Masters". Supreme Master Ching Hai said: we have very rich imaginations. Each one of us creates a God or Amitabha Buddha of our own, and each creates the image of an enlightened master of our own; therefore, we can't find the ideal Master.

The Supreme Master points out: enlightened Master will come when we are ready and our karmic relations become ripe. He will use all kinds of methods to reach us. At that time, the one who is looking for us is actually our real Self. Why does the enlightened master appear? Because all the sentient beings are praying, and our real Self, or soul has been crying for so long, for the Bodhisattvas to come down to deliver us. So much power of sincerity united together will touch the heaven and the compassionate power of Bodhisattvas. Bodhisattvas are not this physical body. Since Buddha nature and spiritual body have no distinction of male or female, so we shouldn't judge a person's spiritual level according to his physical "clothes".
